ACADEMIC 1 The Library this is where I will do all of my research for future assignments and projects. It contains a vast amount of information in various forms including journals, research papers, and webinars. It is accessible through the Walden University student portal. There are numerous staff members available to assist with answering questions regarding my particular field of study as well as locating scholarly sources. ACADEMIC 2 The Writing Center a place I can go to when needing to develop better writing skills. It provides information and instruction on APA style, grammar, composition, and scholarly writing. I can watch webinars, find templates for papers, and even have my writing critiqued staff. Since it has been awhile since I have written in a scholarly manner, I plan to utilize this resource frequently. ACADEMIC 3 CDC website as a nurse practitioner student, I will need to research numerous diseases and their pathophysiology. The CDC is a great source of information that I can use such as medical stories, statistics, diseases, and risk factors and how it applies to different populations. PROFESSIONAL 1 American Association of Nurse Practitioners an organization that can support me in my career and academics. They provide ongoing education, up to date information, and advocate for NPs at the state and federal levels on policies that affect our profession. I also plan to take advantage of the discounts provided on conferences and liability insurance. PROFESSIONAL 2 LinkedIn a professional network that links millions of people worldwide. Through the use of tools provided Walden University and ethics education, scholarly writing is enhanced and professional level work is achieved. Maintaining Integrity and Ethics of Academic Work Integrity during the Master of Science in Nursing program can be accomplished through the use of Grammarly and checking for originality with SafeAssign. (Blackboard, 2019). Also, the American Psychological Association provides a 6th edition publication manual that is an source of all aspects of scholarly (APA, 2010, p.3). utilizing this manual writers can provide uniform content while protecting the rights of original authors. Maintaining Integrity and Ethics of Professional Work Ethics can be achieved through education. Bahrieni et al (2017) state that education can improve moral sensitivity there improving the nursing profession. Education can include a class on ethics in an nursing program or through continuing education credits. integrity is an aspect of wholeness of character that requires reflection and (ANA, 2015, p.36). following policies, maintaining honesty, and providing ethical treatment to patients, nurses can ensure integrity in the nursing profession. Conclusion In conclusion, academic and professional integrity is based in moral values. Students and professionals who are honest with themselves are willing and able to share ideas with others while acknowledging those who share theirs.
