The components of my plan that were the most successful were: the well exam and episodic exam of children aged 2 week-5 years, newborn exam, well exam and episodic exam of children aged 6-12 years. The 14 week rotation in the pediatrics department was generally an awesome and learning experience. However, it is my honest opinion that I will meet the objectives of this remainder since I will be spending the rest of my clinical hours in a primary care clinic. This clinic is positioned in location where primary care physicians are scarce but in a medical plaza that has a neurologist, physiotherapist and pediatrics. Therefore, as the only FNP within the locality, I will have the opportunity to attend to a wider network of patients thus obtaining a lot of experience to sharpen my FNP clinical expertise (Barnes, 2015).
To add on, the setting of this primary care clinic contributes to its accessibility, visibility and availability of patients. Each practitioner attends to a maximum of 30 patients in a day.
