Conceptual Components of Comfort Theory as applied to Nursing

The chosen theory for this discussion is the comfort theory credited to Katherine Kolcaba. Katherine implemented this theory while attending graduate school 1988. The comfort theory is observed and measured in nursing when nurses utilize the pain scale to assess the pain level of a hurting patient.
