Additionally, nurses provide care to patients in their respective areas of specialization. Others focus on preventingdiseases and promoting wellness in multiple clinical facilities. While nurses perform a wide range of duties in the healthcare facilities, this discussion will focus on the nursing profession’s unique nature. Additionally, the discussion will cover values that facilitate nursing care provision, as outlined in the 2008 AACN Baccalaureate Essentials. These values will also be compared with those possessed by the nurse practitioner to promote clinical practices. I consider caring as the most significant value as a nurse practitioner.
