My personal worldview is that my existence is for the sole purpose of serving and loving God. The truth of my existence is based on God’s creativity and purity. God created me to serve with a purity of heart. To be more precise, God is the creator of everything in this universe and God can as well destroy everything. As a creation of God, I am nowhere near the power that God has. My continued life is all to serve God so that I may continue receiving the promised grace and mercy, and become worthy of a life in paradise. I am supposed to continue serving God for as long as I am in this world. Once I die, I will be judged for the life I lived in this world to determine whether I am worthy a life in paradise. The nursing theory that is most in line with my personal philosophy is Virginia Henderson’s Need Theory. The theory places emphasis on the need to increase independence in terms of basic human needs. Through applying the theory, nursing care can be simplified and personalized for the individual patients so that their capacity for health and wellness is increased (Goudreau&Smolenski, 2014).
