A lot of new research evidence has emerged since the facility guidelines were adopted in 2013. There has been a dramatic rising popularity of vaping, especially among adolescents. In the US alone, a current study reported that about 37 percent of high school seniors and 1.3 million high school students were using e-cigarettes (Patterson et al., 2020). Research has shown that vaping among adolescents has numerous adverse consequences. As e-cigarettes contain higher amounts of nicotine than combustible cigarettes, vaping has increased the rates of addiction among adolescents. Vaping is also associated with hyperactivity, impulsive behavior changes, and the risk of marijuana abuse (Jones et al., 2020). Numerous studies have also highlighted the importance of vaping screening and counseling to improve adolescent health. Pepper et al.
