My goals for this competency are to;
(i)By the end of three months, I will develop a detailed change management plan outlining the key steps and strategies for implementing a specific change initiative within the organization. (ii) Within the next two weeks, I will assemble and lead a cross-functional team with representation from various departments to ensure diverse perspectives and expertise and maintain regular communication throughout the change process. (iii)By the end of four months, I will develop and implement training programs for employees affected by the change to enhance their skills and understanding. |

Human Resources I will collaborate with key stakeholders, department heads, and subject matter experts to gather insights and perspectives (Wang et al., 2019). Seek mentorship or guidance from experienced change management professionals. Establishing clear lines of communication and collaboration channels within the team. Provide leadership training or workshops for team members. Collaborate with training professionals or instructional designers to develop effective training materials. The criteria I will use to measure my goals are;
(i) To measure my first goal, I will define at least five measurable milestones or key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress during the change process. Considering available resources and constraints, ensure the plan is realistic and feasible within the organizational context. Align the change initiative with the organization’s strategic objectives and demonstrate its relevance to the mission. (ii) For the second goal, I will define specific roles and responsibilities for each team member and establish measurable targets for collaboration and communication. Ensure the team has the resources and support to fulfill their roles effectively. Link the team’s efforts directly to the successful implementation of the change initiative. (iii) In this goal, I will assess the training effectiveness through pre- and post-training evaluations, measuring improvements in knowledge and skills. Ensure that the training programs are tailored to the specific needs of different stakeholder groups. Link the training programs directly to the goals and outcomes of the change initiative. Reflection: I had an opportunity to create a change management plan during my practicum, collaborating with stakeholders, gathering insights, and navigating the planning process. I also participated in a cross-functional team and could establish clear communication channels, define roles, and foster collaboration within the team.
