Using the Walden Library

My research focuses on workplace violence against nurses. I searched for the article that best describes my topic from the Walden Library. The article chosen is “Workplace violence against Nurses: A Narrative Review” by Kafle et al. (2022). I experienced several challenges in accessing the report from the Walden Library. While I recognize that the library has different databases, some of the published articles were published long ago. When one wants to find up-to-date information on a particular topic, one may need to look up more recent articles, and this could be tedious since there are thousands of reports from the Walden Library with different publication dates. At the same time, another challenge I experienced was that some articles were not freely accessible and some fee was required to access them, which could create an affordability problem for some people. Nonetheless, the Walden Library provided me with enough information about my topic, and I found the article stated above that would form the foundation of my research. The Walden Library would be helpful to my colleagues as diverse articles present the needed information about a topic. I would recommend this database at any given moment. The fact that there are articles published a while ago could serve as an advantage to researchers as it helps them get enough background information about a topic, making their research meaningful. If a person has enough time to research a given case and wants access to many articles, the Walden Library is the best database to use, and this explains why I would recommend it to colleagues.
