  3. Explain how you determined a need for this course. The need for this course arises from the increasing prevalence of PAH patients requiring treatment within the CVICU. There has been a large turnover rate since Covid, many of the newer nurses lack exposure to the PAH, medications used to treat it, or side effects associated with these medications. Healthcare workers should have a fundamental knowledge base on the importance of early diagnosis and appropriate management to improve patient outcomes.   4. Describe the target audience: The target audience for this course is 50-100 bedside cardiovascular critical care nurses who will be involved in the care and management of patients with PAH.
