Personal Philosophy of Nursing Education

            One of the core values in my philosophy of nursing education is providing an engaging learning environment for learners. Additionally, my teaching methods involve a substantial level of practice in the learning process, particularly though simulations and guiding learners through labs simulated through technology. The latter is a function of continuous improvement of the teaching methods to serve the unique needs of learners in the contemporary nurse learning environment, which is characterized by diversity and the need to provide inclusive instructional platforms.

            Active learning strategies are integrated in the philosophy, whereby the learners participate in group discussions and simulated practice to convert the theoretical knowledge to skills (Jackson, 2022). This strategy is effective in inspiring participation, and engagement with the learners provides guidance toward acquiring the relevant knowledge and skills in nursing. Successful learners under this strategy become competent nurses with the ability to solve contemporary problems through critical thinking and the application of an evidence-based approach in practice.
