Critical Component of Evidence-Based Practice Essay

Research models are a critical component of evidence-based practice. Although
numerous models and viewpoints exist, each is essential for constructing and
enforcing new practice interventions to promote safe, professional, and better patient.’ Critical Component of Evidence-Based Practice Essay
care (Polit & Beck, 2021).
The model I selected for disseminating research is the ACE Star Model of
Knowledge Transformation. This model was formed at the San Antonio School of
Nursing promotes evidence-based practice research (Pape, 2003). The model
arranges evidence-based methods into a plan by illustrating connections amid
behaviors. The ACE Star Model of Knowledge objectives is advancing evidence-based
practices by outlining types of knowledge bases before new interventions are
integrated into practice (Gawlinski & Rutledge, 2008). The model outline includes the following:

recommendations, incorporation into practice, and evaluations (Gawlinski & Rutledge,
2008).
The long-term goal of this model is to transform the research information gathered
through the steps mentioned above to promote health outcomes with evidence-based
healthcare practices (Gawlinski & Rutledge, 2008).
The ACE Star Model of Knowledge Transformations’ framework of steps allows for
recurrent and multiplex evidence-based changes to be visualized with ease.
Evaluations with this model can allow for new findings; therefore, the model is easily
repeated (Pape, 2003). The model has been welcomed for its ease of understanding
evidence-based changes while assisting with revolving processes for better patient
care interventions (Pape, 2003). Critical Component of Evidence-Based Practice Essay
Dissemination of research should include educational opportunities that allow for
hands-on training with question-and-answer forums. Other recommended ways to
ensure successful evidence-based practice are dedicated classes, annual skill fairs,
and elect “super users” capable of floating to departments to guide new
interventions. Research models can show facilities engaging departments in more
evidence-based research (Gawlinski & Rutledge, 2008). Critical Component of Evidence-Based Practice Essay
