In the modern world, it is believed that beyond a certain age an individual should have completed education which comprises of primary, secondary and college level. Normally, when a person is past a certain age and has gone through this system, then that is taken as a personal decision of the individual not to learn any fur. During the 20th century things changed in the sense that even adults had a chance to go back and learn if they felt they had time (Stephens, 2011). This did not give a good results as the setting was majorly for the young minds. This called for several changes to carter for those adults who had the urge to learn.
Andragogy is one of the adult learning, models and developed by Malcolm Knowles (Stephens, 2011).It involves the imparting of necessary knowledge on the experienced adults. Adults are willing to learn and exchange ideas and have the educational know-how on what to apply and when from their experience in varying aspects of life. In a nursing profession, andragogy is a useful model as majority of the people know how to provide and care for other people with different problems but lack the technical knowledge that would help them enhance the quality of service provided. Question 1
Carl Rogers came up with another model known as Learner-Centered Teaching. It involves the provision of an environment where an adult learner can practise under supervision the skills acquired by experience. By doing this, those with the proper motivation learn a lot within a short period as they enjoy what they are doing at any particular moment. Carl Rogers ensured that cultural beliefs and practises are taken care of in the different fields of acquiring knowledge by adults. This increases the comfort and motivation of an individual to work. Emphasis put on nursing; this type of model is preferred over the others as it saves on time by providing real life environment for one to learn and practise the acquired skills under supervision by the qualified members. Intrested parties are motivated by cultural environment that allows one to work in comfort, for example, the muslims (Stephens, 2011).
The other model that can be used in nursing adult education is known as the Taxonomy of learning. It involves cognitive form of learning where one gains intellectual knowledge through training on the technical issues through observing or being taught by a professional. Attitude is also an aspect that comes into place in this model. Drive force, feelings and enthusiasm are some of the factors considered in this model. This helps give an adult the urge and motivation to learn more in a particular field. Putting into consideration these factors it is clear that it can be a great help in training adults who are interested in becoming nurses and improve the quality of services they offer to the public.

Services offered by the nurses has been of good quality but looking at the education theories, we see that this can be improved by implementing some things. Cultural understanding can be improved which will help the health care providers know how to treat people from different cultures thus improving efficiency. In conclusion, the quality of services provided in health care facilities can be improved by providing learning facilities that take care of even the adults willing to specialise in a certain field. Experience gained by this adults through life occurrences can prove to be of great help if guidance and technical teaching is provided.
