Effective Leaders and leadership practices have become key driving factors in any organization. According to Baquero (2023), leadership practices and behaviors play an integral input in creating and maintaining a work environment that is recognized as healthy. Different characteristics define a healthy workplace, including positive worker relationships, well-being, and higher satisfaction rates. Different behaviors by leaders determine their ability to foster a healthy work environment. Effective leaders act as success drivers behind organizations with their overall input , promoting a culture of positivity, trust and higher job satisfaction. According to Baquero (2023), rational transparency internalized moral perspective, and balanced processing self-awareness are key leadership behaviors associated with the authentic leadership model. The behaviors are linked to positive impacts, including workers’ engagement and trust, which foster effective organizational operations. On the other hand, Meng et al. (2022) identified that diverse key behaviors including intellectual stimulation, charisma and inspirational motivation, individualized consideration and idealized influence, denote transformational leadership as one of the leadership models. These behaviors foster employee engagement, contributing to a positive work environment and organizational culture. Finally, leaders who practice effective communication, recognize and appreciate workers, and supportive leadership stands a better chance of fostering positive worker involvement (Vidman & Strömberg, 2020). Different core values form the foundation of view and understanding of leadership. These include integrity, continuous learning, collaboration and communication. Vidman & Strömberg (2020) identified intellectual stimulation as a key behavior identified with successful leaders. According to Meng et al. (2022), enhancing positive organizational culture is linked to the leader’s ability to adopt and implement effective teamwork among stakeholders. The identified establishes the foundational moral and philosophy for leadership, guiding decision-making, building trust and inspiring organizational culture. Mission and vision statements are key tools for leaders. According to Baquero (2023), the two statements help leaders have a defined direction and articulate their values, direction and purpose of their organization or leadership position. They, in turn, provide a source of empowerment for leaders. Mission statement: to lead with empathy and integrity to develop an inclusive, collaborative team that would thrive and achieve its potential. The Vision Statement entails creating an organization and workplace culture that recognizes and values authenticity, growth and innovation, leading to sustainable organizational success and workers’ well-being.

According to CliftonStrengths Assessment outcomes, the five themes identified with my profile include ‘includer, positivity, empathy, developer and relator’. As an includer, I am open to other people’s input, hence a team player. Leveraging these strengths for my leadership would be key to strengthening my impact as a leader, enabling me to create a collaborative and supportive workplace. More so, the strengths would foster an effective and high-performing team environment where individual workers feel empowered, valued and motivated to perform to their best possible authority. I wish to strengthen key behaviors, including active listening and decision-making. Enhancing active listening would improve my ability to respect and understand other players’ views and concerns within the organization, promoting openness and trust among the workers. This facet would improve my ability to factor in diverse viewpoints and data-driven insights to make timely decisions.

Different plans would be integrated to improve the identified behaviors. In order to improve on the identified behaviors, I would constantly engage in team activities and actively listen to their views and feedback with minimal interruptions. I would also practice reflective listening to help understand other stakeholders’ understanding. On the other hand, I would enroll in workshops to train in decision-making and learn structured decision-making. In both cases, I would also integrate mentorship from experienced leaders.
