Step 1. Identify Five Possible Stakeholders
Identify actors with a stake in gasoline additives. To do this you can conduct an Internet search. Here are some places to start:

Try to identify stakeholders expressing different positions or with different characteristics. (For example, five companies from the petroleum industry are not a diverse set. Step 2. Fill Out the Stakeholder Assessment Table
Enter five stakeholders into the stakeholder assessment table.
Complete the details in the rows for each stakeholder. Refer to the instructions on page 2 of the table for more details. Please note that your assessment will require you to use material relating stakeholder power (i.e., influence and access) to the three institutional elements – science, bureaucracy, and ethics – that were discussed in this unit. Step 3. Fill Out the Stakeholder Assessment Map
Using the data from the stakeholder assessment table, place each stakeholder on the 2 x 2 interest-influence grid. Refer to the instructions in the stakeholder assessment map for more details.

Add additional slides in the stakeholder assessment map that answer these two questions:
Which actors are most likely to be taken into account in policy making?

A completed stakeholder assessment table.
A completed stakeholder assessment map with the answers to the two assessment questions.
