Academic Resource/Strategy 1

The library services offered by the institution are a good resource that would help with accessing useful publications. These services are especially important for accessing research material that are relevant to academic endeavors to include scholarly periodicals and journals. NURS 6003 Part 2: Academic Resources and Strategies – Transition to Graduate Study for Nursing. Besides that, the library has subscribed to some of these publications so that students do not have to pay any extra charges to access the publications (Walden University, 2020).

Academic Resource/Strategy 2

The second resource is the Academic Skill Center. This is a useful resource for helping with adaptation to the college academic needs, especially with regards to adapting to the steep learning curve of how to write academic work in terms of language and format (Walden University, 2020). Academic Resource/Strategy 3

The third resource is the Center for Research Quality. It offers help with conducting research activities to include where and how to pursue funding sources, rubrics, guidelines, publication services, and facilitates access to the Institutional Review Board if human participants are to be included in the research (Walden University, 2020).

Professional Resource/Strategy 1

The first resource is the Board of Registered Nursing. This is a state nursing regulatory body (available in all the states) that provides information regarding regulations, practice, licensure and certification for all nurses intending to practice in the state (National Council of State Boards of Nursing, 2020) NURS 6003 Part 2: Academic Resources and Strategies – Transition to Graduate Study for Nursing.

Professional Resource/Strategy 2

The second resource is the American Nurses Association (ANA). It supports nurses to advance the profession through advocacy. Its primary objective is giving nurses the best chance of success. It offers information about nursing positions on innovation and ethics, and nursing policy and practice (American Nurses Association, 2020).

Professional Resource/Strategy 3

The third resource is the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), a subsidiary of ANA. It provides certification services that help to validate that a nurse has the skills needed to succeed in a professional position. The certifications are an indication of being an expert in the specialty (American Nurses Association, 2020) NURS 6003 Part 2: Academic Resources and Strategies – Transition to Graduate Study for Nursing.

ADDITIONAL RESOURCES/STRATEGIES

An important resource is the networking opportunities with other students and faculty members at the college. The networking is useful for collecting academic and professional information, such as how to address some of the learning concerns and available career/employment opportunities. It helps with building a network of persons in the same profession. NURS 6003 Part 2: Academic Resources and Strategies – Transition to Graduate Study for Nursing.
