Conducting an organizational need assessment is a process that involves evaluating an organization’s current state with the intent of establishing and implementing strategies that challenge what might be identified. In healthcare, a need assessment is essential with the primary goal of improving quality care. An organizational need assessment can help identify crucial skills gaps and their impact on quality care and organizational performance (Center for Disease and Prevention Control, 2022). Consequently, the management team might decide to hire new professionals to fill the gap. Additionally, a need assessment is also essential during the implementation of technologies. The problems are identified, and through the help of a nursing informatics, an appropriate technological intervention might be implemented. Conducting staff training is essential for improving employee and organizational performance. Through training, staff members get the opportunity to advance in skills, knowledge, and ability, which consequently impacts organizational performance. Additionally, staff training helps improve quality care. This, in turn, leads to both employee and customer satisfaction. I also identified that the organization needs to implement a new documentation system to help manage patient and clinical information. The system is paramount in the decision-making process; data will always be available and make the basis for a particular decision. Other documentation systems help protect patient information privacy by integrating security software like firewalls and cryptography. The need assessment tool utilized staff training need was the Organization-task-person model (Mazhisham et al., 2018). A different conception of need assessment needs, including task, organization, and personal analysis, was conducted.
