While there are a number of nursing languages that have been approved by American Nursing Association, NANDA International (NANDA‐I) is the best known, well developed, updated, innovative, applied globally and most applicable to school nursing practice. The North American Nursing Diagnosis Association (NANDA) provides nurses with a systematic client-centered care with sequential steps in assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.  According to Butler and Thayer (2022), when using NANDA in my practice it shall help me improve on all this nursing process: assessment; involves critical thinking skills and data collection, diagnosis; an up-to-date clinical judgment about responses to actual or potential health problems on the part of the patient, family, or community, planning; formulating goal and outcome directed to impact patients care, implementation; actual carrying out of nursing interventions outlined in the plan of care, and evaluation; reassessing to ensure the desired outcome has been met.
