They are able to peruse the majority of documents available online to check for similarities and word combination similarities that could be perceived as plagiarism. Grammarly goes a step further in suggesting grammar changes to improve the textual flow of a document. Maintaining integrity and ethics is important within the academic and professional settings. Within the academic setting, three strategies will be applied to maintain integrity and ethics. The first strategy is acknowledging all sources of information with the right format for in-text citations and reference list. The second strategy is making use of grammar and plagiarism checking tools/software such as Safe Assign and Grammarly. This is important for identifying plagiarism and grammar concerns before delivering a document. Grammarly is particularly important for improving the language of a text and its readability by making word and phrase suggestions as well as sentence structures. The third strategy is making use of the writing center and library. The writing center is useful for understanding more on how to prepare documents in the different writing formats. This is important for engaging with other stakeholders as it informs on how to communicate with and address others. The third strategy is being accountable for any and all actions undertaken. This includes acknowledging mistakes and taking responsibility for the mistakes.
